The Memphis Public Library is a great location for getting Science Fair information. Both the Sciences Department and the Children's Department have designated areas of their collections devoted to helping students through the various steps of completing their individual projects.

Internet Sites
- Science Fair Central: From the Discovery Channel,
this site provides everything from ideas to links to a searchable database of science fair questions. Also included is an
online handbook, “Soup to Nuts,” a step-by-step guide to science project implementation.
- Neuroscience for Kids: Provides an instructional guide with
links to useful sites. Check out “Questions / Answers” on the home page.
- Internet Public Library: Science Fair Project Resource Guide: Designed
for students, it includes background information on the scientific method and tips for writing a paper. Don’t miss the “Tools
and Research” link.
- Science Buddies: The most unique feature of this site is the Topic Selection
Wizard. Students fill out a personal interest survey and receive a list of project ideas based on their specific interests.
- Science News for Kids: Contains a great list
of science project topics organized by subject area.
- Crystal Clear Science Fair Projects: Has a straightforward
layout and offers projects organized by age group (easy, elementary, etc.) Check out “Project Ideas” at the top of the left
column. However, be aware that some projects on this site are kits offered for sale.
